SM, sorry to butt in on another subject but I wanted to ask about your post on Mitchell's blog. I can't post there because he's scared of me.
ReplyDeleteIt's about how (if I read it right) Scottish authorities forced your son back into school when you took him out because the system wasn't fulfilling his needs. I think you need to take the matter up politically. Write a letter to your government and explain the situation in detail and so on. Get some other parents in your position behind you. That's how you force a change in the law, or you force a change in the system that is more flexible.
Thanks, yes, my son got better and was more able to cope with school. But then he got unwell again, I don't think the school was good for him. Now I am very tired and often very alone. I am tired of fighting. I have found myself more able to fight for other children than for my own son, it's funny, parents are always critised, seen as emotional, or not facing reality of their child's many challenges.
